PhotoShop Corrections Album cover

PhotoShop

This photo was taken with a Cannon EOS 600D, i took this photograph in a RAW format and  I used a 50mm lens on the camera to take this photo to give this effect. This photo was taken out side during day time so to get the lighting and exposure correct i but the ISO at 200 so that the photo isn't too dark. i also set the aperture to f-2.5 which also makes the same affect on the light and makes the lighting correct, i set it to f-2.5 to let more light when on a shutter speed of 1/200 to make sure the picture turns correct. i tried to get an open but empty area so that he was the focus point, but kept the iconic telephone box and black cab taxi.
i think that if i re took this photo graph i would try and change the exposure to make it look sightly darker, and also get a deeper depth of field.

*First Photo Edit*

*Final Edit*

On this photo i have edited the original photograph and added effects on the original layer. the effects that i used were a rainbow coloured filter on top but make it transparent to give it different colours look, also i altered the colours to give the photograph a warmer feels and make the photograph look better. To create the 3D effect to the text i used the text tool to create the text then rasterize the text into a layer. Then i used the warp tool on the text to shape it to how i wanted it, then i duplicated the text free transformed it  and made it transparent to create the  effect of a shadow, then added a bit of blur to it to make it look more faint and realistic. I have also added a reflection of his feet in the puddle so it show the water on the floor better.

The reason why i chose this style was to give it a british Culture look with the old telephone box and the Black Cab taxi in the background, and the big old building to show that its a city. In my second photograph i wanted to keep the streets empty to make him the focus of the photograph but didn't mind having the cultural british taxi in the background for affect.

I had to retake my photograph because the first time the photograph was taken in JPEG format instead of RAW format. The final photograph was taken in RAW format to make the image look better and allow me to make better adjustments.

This was the orignal look i intended to with the depth of field and background and foreground, some of good things about this photograph is that i got the right exposure that i wanted and the correct depth of field. some of the bad thing that i would change if i did this again would be the scenery in the background, i would try and get more of a focus on the taxisand not other cars.
