Low Key Lighting
This photograph shows the low key lighting before i edited it. The aim was to use one low level light to highlight areas on his face, with dark areas. I wanted to edit this photograph to bring up the exposure a bit. Some parts didn't stand out as well as other part for example the eyes, so i had to turn up the exposure within the eyes so that they stand out more. I also changed the colour of the photo to a blue to give the temperature a cooler/colder look.
Three Point Lighting
This photograph shows three point lighting. These two images show the before and after of the Three point lighting picture. The reason for Three point lighting is to light all key areas of the subject and to lift them for the background. Three Point Lighting consists of one main light which is called the key light. The other light which is opposite to the key light is not as bright at the key light but is used to bring out the shadows created by the key light to give an even effect. The Back light is used for lighting the back of the subject which give it bait of a glow and lift and makes it stand out from the background. In the edit for this photograph i slightly turn up the exposure and contrast which brings of the colours more.
High Contrast Lighting
This photograph shows High Contrast lighting. High Contrast lighting is when there is a wide range of contrast in the same photograph. For example this photo show an area of darkness and an area of brightness with the subject well lit. I think this photograph shows High contrast really well. The editing i did for this photograph was increasing the exposure and contrast on the subject and bright area to make it stand out more, but in the dark area i decreased the exposure to make the black deeper. i also cut out the arm and camera from the picture because i wanted the subject to be more of the focus point.
