Camera Lenses & My Examples


Camera lenses











18mm - This photograph was taken with a 18mm lenses. This gives the background a longer depth of field and shows more detail in both the foreground and background, and gives the photo a wide angle effect






35mm - This photograph  was taken with the lenses at 35mm which give the effect a shorter depth of field and background not in focus.



55mm - This photo was taken at 55mm lenses which give the photo a more compact look and small depth of field and only focuses on the subject and blurs and even cuts out the background.


















Types of camera lenses









Standard lenses -  standard lenses are generally used for mid ranged shot and ranging from 18mm-55mm and are use mostly for portrait style of photographs. They  usually come stock to new cameras.

 Fish Eye lenses -  Fish eye lenses are a convex lenses and give a wide angle shot. They range from 8mm-15mm and are usually used for artistic/creative shots or videos. Some wide angle lenses come in ultra wide angle which ranges from 8mm-35mm with a f2;8 aperture.
 Macro lenses - Macro lenses have a smaller shutter so that they can get closer shot, this allows them to get more detail shot/photograph into something that is very small and hard to see by other lenses or give the human eye. They range from 90mm-105mm.


  Telephoto lenses - Telephoto lenses ranges from 50mm-105mm. they have a long length and high magnified shot. While usually used for sports photography or wild life/nature photography.
